HOW DID YOU MEET?
What seemed to begin as a summer romance back in December of 2014, inevitably became true love, an undeniable bond between two people who were no doubt brought together by God. We met through a mutual friend on a Suncity vacation, where we bonded over our same interests and life goals while floating around the lazy river and have been inseparable ever since.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR ENGAGEMENT
We got engaged on the most beautiful tropical island in the Maldives on the 4th of May 2019. Brad had set up a photography session for us on the beach where he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.
WHAT DO YOU WISH YOU KNEW BEFORE THE WEDDING?
We don’t really feel like there was anything major that we wish we knew before our wedding. Our planning process was easy as Cassidy knew all the best suppliers that she wanted to make use of for our wedding. I guess we could say that the only thing we wish we knew, was that our initial booked date would need to be moved due to Covid-19.
WHAT ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR ENGAGED COUPLES?
Definitely plan in advance, book your preferred suppliers as early as possible to avoid any disappointment. Another bit of advice that we can give is that this is your wedding day, it’s about the two of you and all the things that you envision for your special day. Don’t let anything or anyone dampen the planning process or the wedding day itself.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOU DOING TOGETHER?
We absolutely love to travel and be adventurous, but we do also love to stay at home and cuddle up with a good movie or series.
WHAT WAS THE BEST PART ABOUT YOUR WEDDING
There were many amazing moments we hold near to our hearts from our wedding day. First, walking down the aisle with my parents and then my dad alone, seeing Brads reaction the first time we saw me. Second one of our favourite moments was the venue hall reveal, seeing all the flowers and decor for the first time. It was truly a beautiful moment! Lastly we really enjoyed the special dances, couple dance, daddy daughter dance and surprise grandmother dances we organized in honour of our grandfathers who are no longer with us.
WHAT CHARACTERISTICS DO YOU LIKE MOST IN YOUR PARTNER?
Brad: Cass’s sense of humour, gentle kind heart and unconditional love. Cass: Brad’s willingness to always lend a hand to anyone who needs it, his kind and giving heart, his passion and drive and his love for God.
