A well organised baby room

An organised baby room brings so much joy

Such excitement abounds when a new baby is about to arrive. Truth is you’ll never seem quite ready for the little one’s arrival but we can sure help by making your life easier.

The one thing you can do to prepare is to create an organised baby room. Prepare for the new baby by making sure everything is where it should be and you have organisation systems that you know will easily work for you.

When you have a lovely organised nursery, you will be able to focus on your baby, and not worry about finding lost items or where to store everything your baby needs.

Create functional areas

The first step is to establish functional areas. Make sure you have what you need within arm’s reach of those areas.

Examples of functional areas:

  • Reading and rocking – Keep books and a lamp near the rocking chair.
  • Changing area – Store diapers, wipes and toiletries near your changing table.
  • Clothes and laundry – Organise the closet and keep the laundry basket near the changing table.
  • Bed time– Keep blankets and sheets near the bed.

Helpful advice for a mom to be:

The best way to organize a baby dresser

Keep the most frequently used items like onesies in the top drawer. Baby clothes are so tiny, it might help using one of Walle Declutter’s custom-made drawer inserts to help you organise your baby’s clothes.

What to hang and what to fold?

Hang things up that you don’t want wrinkled, like little dresses. The rest of the clothes you can fold.
